It is also worth separating connection from compatibility. Two people may connect meaningfully without being suited to the same kind of relationship. A short acquaintance, an occasional meeting, or a friendship that stays at a comfortable distance can carry genuine significance. Meaning is not a synonym for permanence or exclusivity.
