The third is that responsibility rests with the organiser alone. In loosely structured gatherings, no single person holds authority, and the assumption that someone else is managing the situation can leave issues unaddressed. Emotional harm in these settings more often arises from omission than from intent, from the person who was not introduced, the boundary that was not noticed, or the joke that landed differently than expected.
