Translations:Being a Considerate Neighbour/9/en
This ambiguity can be uncomfortable for people whose private life is not universally accepted. Some LGBTQ+ residents report a heightened awareness of being observed, and a corresponding caution about visitors, noise, or visible signals of who they are. That caution is understandable, and it deserves to be named rather than dismissed. At the same time, community accounts frequently describe the opposite experience as well: neighbours who become quietly protective once a basic human familiarity exists.
