Responsibility runs in both directions. Being clear about one's own expectations is part of it; the other part is receiving someone else's without treating it as a negotiation to be won.
| Reality=Reality Check: the most common misconception is that expectations are self-evident. They rarely are. What feels obvious from inside one person's assumptions is frequently invisible to the other, and silence tends to be read as agreement when it usually means nothing at all.
