Translations:Splitting Costs Fairly/5/en

A second common misunderstanding involves non-monetary contributions. Hosting has real costs: food, cleaning, utilities, time, wear on a home. Someone who provides the space is often contributing more than the guests realise. Conversely, a guest who brings supplies, handles transport, or does the cleaning afterwards is contributing something that does not appear on any receipt. Fairness is easier to reach when the whole picture is counted, not only the visible transactions.
