Emotional harm tends to arise in small moments rather than large ones. Being told a place is "basically accessible" and finding it is not. Being asked, in front of others, what exactly is wrong. Having a limit treated as negotiable, or as something that might improve with encouragement. Being praised for attending in a way that marks the attendance as remarkable.
