There is also the question of visibility. Not everyone is equally open about their life, and a venue that feels ordinary to one person may feel exposed to another — near a workplace, a family neighbourhood, or a community where they are widely recognised. This is rarely stated outright. Where a person seems particular about location without explaining why, discretion is often the reason, and it is generally treated as something to accommodate rather than interrogate.
