Another misconception holds that accessibility needs are fixed and predictable. Many are not. Someone may manage stairs on one occasion and not the next, and this variability is sometimes misread as inconsistency or exaggeration. Taking a person's stated capacity on a given day at face value avoids a great deal of unnecessary friction.
