Conversations about group dynamics tend to focus on rules and logistics, less often on the human variation that rules are meant to accommodate. Yet most of what makes a gathering feel comfortable or strained comes from how well the people present read and adjust to one another. A quiet guest is not necessarily unhappy. A loud guest is not necessarily dominant. Interpretation errors in either direction are where friction usually begins.
