In social and dating contexts, time management is often discussed as a practical concern: arriving when expected, allowing enough space in a schedule, and being honest about how long one can stay. It is also, less obviously, an emotional matter. Time is a finite resource, and how someone treats another person's time is frequently read as a signal of how seriously they take the connection itself.
