These readings are not always accurate. A person may be late because of transport, work, or anxiety about the meeting itself. Chronic lateness is sometimes connected to neurodivergence, shift work, caregiving responsibilities, or simply a different relationship to schedules. Community discussion tends to acknowledge both sides: the person waiting is entitled to feel their time matters, and the person running late is not necessarily indifferent.
