The second is timing. Recognising the natural close of an encounter — a lull, a shift in energy, a practical constraint such as transport or work the next morning — is a social skill that develops with attention. Leaving at a moment that feels complete is generally received better than leaving at an arbitrary point, though there is no obligation to stay until some imagined correct hour.
