If a departure feels urgent rather than natural — if something has gone wrong, or the atmosphere has shifted — the priority is leaving, not leaving elegantly. Grace is a preference for ordinary circumstances. It carries no obligation when someone feels unsafe, and no explanation is owed in that situation.
