Several considerations are commonly raised. Location disclosure is one: proposing a private residence carries different implications than proposing a public setting, and the choice deserves to be visible in the invitation itself rather than revealed later. Timing is another: late-hour invitations and same-day invitations are not inherently problematic, but they compress the space in which someone can consider their answer.
