Consent and autonomy apply to food as much as anywhere else. Nobody is obliged to explain a dietary requirement, disclose a diagnosis, or justify an ethical position. Equally, no host is obliged to promise accommodations they cannot reliably deliver. Clear information exchanged in advance allows both parties to make informed decisions.
