Autonomy remains central. Either person may end the meeting at any point, without a detailed justification. Pressure to extend, to relocate somewhere more private, or to make decisions faster than feels comfortable is generally regarded as a meaningful signal in itself, regardless of how it is framed. A person who respects a stated boundary in a café is more likely to respect one elsewhere.
