Visibility is the second factor. Entry systems increasingly include cameras, and many buildings have residents who take an active interest in who comes and goes. This is not inherently hostile, but it does mean that arrivals and departures are more observable than the private nature of a meeting might suggest.
| Social=Shared spaces are governed less by written rules than by accumulated social understanding. Long-term residents often develop unspoken expectations about noise after a certain hour, whether the entrance door is propped open, and how strangers are greeted. Newcomers may not perceive these expectations until they are breached.
