| Safety=Inclusion intersects with consent more than it might initially appear. The impulse to bring someone into a group can override their own signals about the level of contact they want. A person who has stepped outside, moved to a quieter room, or disengaged from a conversation may be exercising a reasonable preference rather than experiencing a problem to be solved. Approaching once, offering, and accepting the answer is generally the more respectful pattern.
