| Social=Groups develop informal cultures around disagreement. In some circles, direct confrontation is normal and quickly forgotten. In others, directness reads as aggression, and issues are managed indirectly through hints or third parties. Neither pattern is inherently better, but people moving between social contexts sometimes misread each other badly because they are operating on different assumptions about what a raised voice or a long silence means.
