Physical considerations also apply, particularly in private spaces hosting more people than they were designed for. Awareness of exits, occupancy, and basic emergency response is a reasonable baseline for any host. Privacy is a further concern: photography, the sharing of attendee identities, and the discussion of who was present carry real consequences for people whose circumstances are not uniformly open.
| Reality=Reality Check: gatherings are often idealised as automatically welcoming, and disappointment follows when they are not. A room full of people with something in common does not guarantee connection. Many attendees describe leaving events feeling more isolated than when they arrived, which is a common experience rather than a personal failure.
