Duration is more frequently left unspoken. Two people may agree to meet without either stating whether they have an hour, an evening, or no fixed limit. This ambiguity can work well when both are relaxed about it, but it can also produce quiet mismatches: one person settling in while the other is already watching the clock. Naming an approximate window in advance is often described as removing pressure rather than adding it, because both people then know the shape of the time they are sharing.
